FINANCIAL AID DISCLOSURE & CONSENT AGREEMENT


This online service e-sign Disclosure and Consent applies to all communications and transactions carried out by the Financial Aid Office, including documents generated by the WTS Financial Aid Portal, and to all email or other communications to and from Westminster regarding your financial aid application, communications and awards. The term "communication", used in this Disclosure and Consent, means any information, notice (including financial aid notifications), authorization, disclosure, acknowledgement, question or other information sent to or received from you about your financial aid at Westminster Theological Seminary. You agree that any such communications, whether electronically or printed, will be considered "in writing", and each shall have the same binding legal significance.

To access, view or keep electronic disclosures or communications from Westminster or to submit required information to Westminster, you must meet the Westminster’s minimum hardware and software requirements. Computer requirements can be viewed on Hardware and Peripherals Required.

Westminster has an information security program that's designed to make sure the security and privacy of your information is protected against security or integrity threats and to guard against unauthorized access or use of such information.
By providing your consent below, you agree that:
  • You have provided the Westminster with a current email address (if you don’t have a Westminster email address) so that Westminster may send electronic communications to in accordance with federal regulations.
  • You will notify the Westminster of any change in your current email address via the Financial Aid Office email, U.S. mail or by calling the Financial Aid Office.
    • It's your responsibility to provide us with a true, accurate and complete email address, contact and other information related to this disclosure and your student status.
    • You can maintain and update your information by emailing financialaid@wts.edu.
  • Westminster may provide you with any communications in electronic format at the email address provided.
  • You may use email to supply information to Westminster regarding your financial aid.
  • Westminster will notify you annually of the information required to be disclosed for that year, the Internet address where the information can be found and state that, upon request, you're entitled to a printed copy and instructions on how to request a printed copy.
  • Your computer supports the minimum hardware and software system requirements for providing an electronic signature within this Site.
  • Any signature provided via the WTS Financial Aid portal shall be attributed to you and shall have the same force and effect as a written signature.
  • Westminster may discontinue sending printed communications to you, until you withdraw your consent.
  • Your consent to electronic communications is being provided in connection with a transaction affecting interstate commerce that is subject to the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act and the laws governing the electronic process and forms under the jurisdiction of the state of Pennsylvania and that these laws apply to the fullest extent possible to validate our ability to conduct business with you by electronic means.
There are no additional costs for processing your documents electronically. You have the right to receive any legally required communications about your financial aid via paper copies by following the instructions below. But if you choose to receive paper documents in a printed format, you may experience delays because of U.S. mail delivery and manual processing.

You may withdraw your consent to receive disclosures and communications in electronic form and to receive them in a printed format via U.S. mail by contacting the financial aid office. There are no fees associated with the withdrawal of consent to receive communications in electronic form.
If you provide an invalid email address or an error occurs with a previously valid email address, we will treat that as a withdrawal of your consent to receive electronic communications about your financial aid, and we will resume communications by U.S. mail.

Please contact Westminster's Financial Aid Office to discuss this matter before proceeding with your loan request form.

LOAN RATES & FEES

Westminster is able to provide Direct Unsubsidized Loans and Graduate PLUS Loans to qualified students. All loans begin accumulating interest upon disbursement. To request a loan, please complete the below form and submit the requested supporting documents through the "Financial Aid" tab in your Populi account.  Visiting students, MAC, Dmin and Certificate students are not eligible for Federal Loans at this time.  Please contact financialaid@wts.edu for more information on options available to you.

**The Origination fee is a fee that the Federal Loan program charges at the beginning of your loan.  It is taken out of the original amount requested.  

Sorry, you are not eligible to receive a loan. You must be enrolled at least half time in each term you need a loan.  Please contact financialaid@wts.edu with any questions.

Sorry, our MAC and DMin programs are ineligible for Federal Student Loans at this time.  Please contact FinancialAid@wts.edu if you have any questions at this time.

Sorry, you are not eligible to receive a federal loan until you have completed at least 72 credit hours of undergraduate and/or graduate studies (may be combined). You may be able to seek a Private Student Loan instead.

Sorry, you are not eligible to receive a loan. US Federal loans or only available for US Citizens and qualified Permanent Residents.

STUDENT INFORMATION




The maximum unsubsidized loan amount per academic year is $20,500. For additional funds, a Graduate PLUS loan application will need to be completed and is dependent on a credit check. Total amount requested may not exceed your overall Cost of Attendance (COA).
